Engineer, automate, and operate a secure, scalable, and production-ready OCI foundation that enables governed data products, advanced analytics, GenAI, and reliable enterprise delivery for the OCI AIDP Lakehouse platform.

We are seeking an experienced OCI Platform & DevOps Engineer to engineer, automate, secure, and operate the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure foundation for the Enterprise Data Lakehouse on OCI and Oracle AI Data Platform. This role will build and maintain the landing zone, Infrastructure-as-Code modules, CI/CD pipelines, observability capabilities, environment controls, and production operations required to support scalable data, analytics, and AI workloads. This role reports to the Principal Data Engineering Lead and operates within the Data Governance, AI & Analytics organization as part of the Enterprise Data Lakehouse Architecture and Platform team.

The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience with OCI, Terraform, cloud networking, identity and security, CI/CD, observability, reliability engineering, and regulated production environments. This individual will partner closely with architects, data engineers, security specialists, governance leaders, application teams, and business stakeholders to translate platform standards into secure, repeatable, supportable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

What You Will Do Platform Engineering and Automation

Implement and administer OCI landing-zone capabilities, including compartments, virtual cloud networks, subnets, routing, gateways, policies, agile groups, Vault, Key Management, logging, and environment isolation.

Develop reusable, version-controlled Terraform and OCI Resource Manager modules with standardized remote state, naming, tagging, validation, and promotion patterns.

Automate the provisioning and configuration of development, test, staging, and production environments to improve consistency, speed, and recoverability.

Partner with platform architecture, security, data engineering, and governance teams to translate enterprise standards into enforceable infrastructure controls. OCI / AIDP DevOps and Service Enablement

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for OCI infrastructure, platform services, data pipelines, analytics products, and AI-enabled components.

Automate build, test, security validation, artifact management, deployment, environment promotion, rollback, and recovery processes.

Map delivery requirements to OCI DevOps, Resource Manager,



Container Engine for Kubernetes, Registry, Functions, API Gateway, Logging, Monitoring, Vault, and other approved OCI and AIDP capabilities.

Embed peer review, quality gates, vulnerability scanning, policy checks, approvals, traceability, and secure software supply-chain controls into delivery workflows. Security, Observability, and Reliability

Implement end-to-end logging, metrics, alerting, tracing, dashboards, and service-health reporting using OCI-native and enterprise-approved observability platforms.

Ensure platform services inherit approved identity, access, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, audit, retention, and governance controls.

Define service-level indicators, operational thresholds, escalation paths, capacity-management practices, resilience controls, and disaster-recovery readiness for critical services.

Lead or support incident response, advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, preventive remediation, and production-readiness reviews.

Operations and Governance

Develop and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, environment standards, readiness gates, deployment patterns, support models, and technical documentation.

Implement tagging, budgeting, cost allocation, forecasting, utilization reporting, and cloud-resource optimization in partnership with FinOps and platform leadership.

Participate in technical discovery, architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, operational reviews, and risk-management discussions with engineering, security, governance, and leadership stakeholders.

Identify operational toil, control gaps, recurring failure patterns, dependencies, and platform risks, then address them through automation, standardization, and measurable engineering improvements.

Required

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline,



or equivalent practical experience.

Seven or more years of progressive experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering.

Demonstrated hands-on experience designing, provisioning, securing, and operating production workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles, including modular design, state management, testing, code review, and controlled promotion.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines with OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or comparable platforms.

Strong working knowledge of OCI networking, IAM, compartments, Compute, Object Storage, Vault, Key Management, Logging, Monitoring, and Resource Manager.

Experience supporting containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes; OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes experience is highly relevant.

Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar automation and configuration-management technologies.

Sound understanding of cloud security, observability, incident management, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate across architecture, engineering, security, governance, and operations teams.

Preferred

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional, DevOps Professional, Security Professional, or related OCI certification.

Experience with OCI Landing Zones, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Bastion, Web Application Firewall, API Gateway, Functions, Streaming, Data Flow, Data Integration, Autonomous Database, or Logging Analytics.

Hands-on experience with Helm, Argo CD, GitOps, policy-as-code, automated compliance validation, and secure software supply-chain controls.

Experience applying site reliability engineering practices, including service-level objectives, error budgets, capacity planning, resilience testing, incident management, and automation of operational toil.

Experience designing or operating cloud platforms in healthcare, financial services, government, or other regulated and audit-sensitive environments.

Exposure to enterprise lakehouse platforms, AI/ML platform operations, MLOps or LLMOps, AI-native delivery practices, and data-governance controls.

Working knowledge of open-source and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or comparable platforms.

Experience supporting platform adoption through reusable modules, self-service capabilities, engineering standards, technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational enablement.
