Donaldson's APAC (India) EBP PLM - Change and Release Management Team is looking for an Engineer I. In this role, you would lead global Engineering Change Projects on both Product and Process fronts, with expertise in Mobile Hydraulics and Flitration Systems to collaborate closely with the USA Team. Your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are essential for driving engineering projects forward. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings and standards to ensure project completion aligns with manufacturing ease of processing while monitoring costs. This opportunity offers valuable insights into technology and a deep understanding of the engineering process.

Preferred candidate profile

- Leading projects for engineering changes in existing hydraulic filtration products through Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) or Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Carrying out all project management activities from change initiation to implementation for various types of engineering changes, such as qualifying new suppliers, current materials, new tooling for plastic parts, cost reduction, and design changes.
- Communicating and collaborating with project leaders, application engineers, sales representatives, suppliers, procurement teams, quality engineers, and production engineers to implement engineering changes or develop optimal solutions to problems.
- Utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence to obtain required information about products and product supply.
- Reviewing engineering drawings and providing design guidance and input on plastic, rubber, and sheet metal products.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (CFT) to resolve engineering issues in accordance with drawing standards and manufacturing feasibility.
- Demonstrating knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workflow cycles.




- Proficient in software tools such as NX, Creo, Teamcenter, ARAS Innovator and Oracle BI.
- Providing design guidance and recommending alternative solutions as required.
- Demonstrating design knowledge of hydraulic filtration systems and supporting the development of design drawings to achieve technical objectives consistent with established guidelines, customer requirements, and design specifications.
- Demonstrating knowledge of ECR, ECO/ECN, drafting, PPAP, DVP&R;, dimensional reports, SPC, and testing & validation protocols.

Education Qualification:

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field, Advanced degree preferred.
- knowledge of NX (NX11 is preferred), Creo, Teamcenter PLM, ARAS Innovator and SharePoint a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Technical Competence & Skills:

- Understanding of industry design standards for gemetric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) principles.
- Experience with sheet metal and plastic part design
- Knowledge of injection, blow, rotational & rubber molding process
- Knowledge of sheet metal pressing & fabrication process
- Familiarity with ECR/ECO/ECN, Drafting, PPAP, DVP&R;, Dimensional Reports, SPC, XFMEA, Testing & Validation protocols.
- Able to communicate effectively at a global level.
- Proficiency in organizing, planning, and coordinating with the Global Team to meet customer expectations.

Relevant Experience:

- 4+ years of professional Engineering, Engineering Tech or

NX, APQP, PPAP, 2D/3D, Drawing Reading, Injection Molding, CAD.Engineering Design work experience.

- Experience in Mobile Hydraulic Filtration products.
