Role Description The New Product Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This position is responsible for leading the development of new braking products and variants, from concept through prototyping and validation, in line with customer and OEM requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include conducting technical and market research, defining product specifications, coordinating with design, production, and quality teams, and managing project timelines and documentation. The role involves close collaboration with application engineering and sales teams to translate customer needs into viable product solutions, supporting testing activities,



and ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards. The specialist will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, and the introduction of creative materials and technologies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance evaluation of new products.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) and Product Development skills to drive concept creation, prototyping, testing, and product optimization.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills to plan, coordinate, and track new product initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, OEMs, and technical partners, and to prepare clear reports and documentation.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial products, motion control, braking systems, or similar engineering domains is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with CAD tools, basic FEA or simulation software, and familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, manage multiple projects, and adapt to customer-driven timelines and requirements.
