.NET Solution Architect (Hands-On)

Job Summary :

Own the end-to-end technical architecture of our enterprise .NET applications while remaining hands-on in development. The role combines architectural ownership with practical engineering, requiring proven experience in distributed systems design, cloud platforms, and applying AI technologies in production software.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own end-to-end architecture: service boundaries, data models, integration patterns, deployment topology.
- Stay hands on reference implementations, technical spikes, critical-path code, and cross-team code reviews.
- Set and enforce non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, availability, security, and operating cost.
- Drive AI-assisted development across the team and guide how AI/LLM services are integrated into applications.
- Lead cloud adoption and modernisation, including migration of legacy .NET Framework workloads.
- Produce architecture decision records, technical documentation, and engineering standards.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the standard of technical design across engineering.

Technical Skills (Mandatory) :

- Languages/Frameworks : C#, .NET 8/9, Entity Framework Core.
- Architecture : Microservices, modular monolith, DDD, event-driven, CQRS, REST, gRPC,



resilience patterns (circuit breaker, retry, bulkhead).
- Cloud : Azure (App Service, Functions, Container Apps, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, API Management) or equivalent depth in AWS/GCP.
- Messaging : Deep knowledge of one platform Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Databases/Caching : One relational + non-relational store (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB), Redis, query optimisation.
- AI/ML : Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, RAG, vector search (Azure AI Search/pgvector), prompt engineering, agentic workflows, tool/function calling, MCP.
- DevOps : Docker, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), IaC concepts (Bicep/Terraform).
- Security : OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, secrets management, OWASP Top 10.

Experience Requirements :

- Proven ownership of end-to-end architecture for production systems at scale.
- Substantial hands-on development experience this is not a documentation-only role.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily development and building/integrating AI/LLM-enabled features.
- In-depth production experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred).
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical design reviews.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business stakeholders.
