Role Description The Nephrologist will provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and longitudinal follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient and inpatient consultations, managing hemodialysis and other dialysis modalities, overseeing pre- and post-transplant nephrology care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The role involves interpreting diagnostic tests, developing evidence-based treatment protocols, participating in clinical teaching for residents and students,
and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi at Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences.
Qualifications Strong clinical expertise in Medicine and Nephrology, with the ability to manage complex renal conditions.
Hands-on experience in Dialysis and Hemodialysis, including supervision of dialysis units and patient safety protocols.
Competence in caring for patients before and after kidney Transplant, including immunosuppression management and long-term follow-up.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MD or equivalent), followed by DM/DNB in Nephrology or equivalent subspecialty training.
Current eligibility for registration with the appropriate medical council and compliance with NMC regulations.
Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication, clinical decision-making, and documentation skills.
Commitment to teaching, clinical research, and continuous professional development; prior academic or teaching experience is an advantage.
Willingness to participate in shift duties, emergency services, and hospital-wide quality and safety initiatives.
