Structural Engineering Key Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day structural engineering activities and coordinate with the DDW Dubai Engineering team.
2. Plan project deliverables, manpower, schedules, budgets, and engineering resources.
3. Coordinate engineering changes, approvals, procurement, production, and project requirements.
4. Ensure safety, quality, cost efficiency, and timely project delivery while driving process improvements.
5. Lead and develop the engineering team through hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.
6. Knowledge of using engineering 3D model software like, Tekla Structure, Cadmatic, Nestix, Sigma Nest Navisworks Manage, AUTO CAD, Autodesk Recap, HGG Procam, and Rhinoceros 3D

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong technical knowledge of Marine and Offshore projects and structural engineering.
- Knowledge of material selection, grades, specifications, and material certificates for shipbuilding and offshore projects.
- Experience with structural design standards such as EN/DIN/JIS/NORSOK/API/AISC and classification standards including DNV, ABS, LR,



and BV.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues during project engineering and execution.
- Solid understanding of engineering design methods, cost analysis, and scientific problem-solving techniques.
- Good knowledge of management, team motivation, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

- Bachelor/Engineering degree in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or Technical equivalent.
- Total of 15 years relevant experience in shipyard, offshore / Oil & Gas industry in design and production engineering office.
- Have minimum 10 years experience with production engineering companies, where hands on exposure to a wide range of marine and offshore projects can be demonstrated.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in shipyard, major production / construction sites and heavy industrial segments.
