AWS Infrastructure Administrator Job Description
Job Title: AWS Infrastructure
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Infrastructure Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our cloud environments. This role requires extensive knowledge of AWS services, particularly Terraform, Control Tower, IAM roles, automations, AWS Config, AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, S3 buckets, Azure TFS, GitHub Enterprise and DevOps practices. Experience with EKS is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AWS Infrastructure: Operate, monitor, and optimize our AWS environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Terraform Implementation: Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Good hands-on with GitHub Enterprise, Git Actions, Pipeline creations etc
- Control Tower Management: Utilize AWS Control Tower to set up and govern a secure, multi-account AWS environment based on best practices.
- IAM Roles and Policies: Manage and enforce IAM roles and policies to ensure secure and compliant access to AWS resources.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
- AWS Config: Implement and manage AWS Config to continuously monitor and assess the compliance of AWS resources with our organization's policies.
- Monitoring and Logging:
Set up and maintain AWS CloudWatch for monitoring logs and metrics, and configure VPC Flow Logs for network traffic analysis.
- S3 Bucket Management: Manage and optimize S3 buckets for storage, backup, and data lifecycle management.
- Azure TFS Integration: Integrate and manage Azure TFS for source control, build, and release management.
- DevOps Practices: Apply DevOps principles and best practices to enhance collaboration, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- EKS Knowledge: Utilize Kubernetes on AWS (EKS) for container orchestration and management, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing AWS infrastructure and services.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or related certifications are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Terraform for IaC implementation.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Control Tower, IAM roles, and policies.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Familiarity with AWS Config and AWS CloudWatch for compliance and monitoring.
- Knowledge of VPC Flow Logs and network traffic analysis.
- Expertise in managing S3 buckets for various use cases.
- Experience with Azure TFS for CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes on AWS (EKS) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of AWS environments by performing regular maintenance, updates, and optimization tasks.
- Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect AWS resources and data.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards through continuous monitoring and auditing.
- Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal application and system performance.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure with business goals and requirements.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on AWS best practices and new technologies.
