Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled L3 Middleware Engineer to support, administer, and optimize enterprise middleware and integration platforms that power critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, IBM MQ, IBM Master Data Management (MDM), Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SharePoint, and Apache HTTP Server, along with exposure to Apache Tomcat, Control-M, and Connect:Direct.

The role involves middleware installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management, performance tuning, security administration, and advanced troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the availability, scalability, reliability, and performance of enterprise middleware environments while providing Level 3 production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L3 production support for enterprise middleware environments and serve as the technical escalation point for complex incidents.
- Install, configure, administer, patch, upgrade, and migrate middleware platforms across development, test, and production environments.

- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability, clustered, and load-balanced middleware infrastructures.
- Configure and manage Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server, including SSL/TLS, virtual hosts, reverse proxy, URL rewriting, and load balancing.
- Administer Microsoft IIS and SharePoint environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Manage IBM MQ components, including queue managers, channels, listeners, queues, and message flow troubleshooting.




- Monitor middleware performance and conduct capacity planning to ensure platform stability and scalability.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues, application outages, integration failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
- Support application deployment activities and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Monitor and support batch processing through Control-M.
- Manage secure file transfers and troubleshoot data exchange issues using Connect:Direct.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting or PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and major incident management activities.
