About the Role

Artic Consulting is seeking a Mid-Level Application Developer for one open position Ahmedabad. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who can build reliable application features, collaborate with engineering and release stakeholders, and support modern software delivery using GitHub-first practices. The successful candidate will bring strong application development fundamentals, deep GitHub experience, and practical exposure to AI-enabled release workflows, including release automation, code review acceleration, quality gates, and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.

What You Will Do

- Design, develop, test, and maintain application features using contemporary software engineering practices and clean, maintainable code.

- Use GitHub deeply across the development lifecycle, including branching strategy, pull requests, code reviews, GitHub Actions, repository hygiene, issue tracking, release notes, and deployment coordination.

- Support AI-enabled release practices, including automation, AI-assisted quality checks, release readiness reviews, and responsible use of AI tools to improve engineering speed and reliability.

- Partner with product owners, engineers, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate work, and deliver high-quality releases.

- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement practical fixes with clear documentation and communication.

- Contribute to CI/CD improvements, build and release pipelines, environment readiness, and deployment tracking.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including implementation notes, release documentation, operational runbooks, and support knowledge articles.

- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, release planning, and post-release retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.





- 4+ years of professional application development experience in enterprise, product, or client-facing software environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub, including repository management, pull request workflows, code review practices, GitHub Actions, and release/version control processes.

- Experience supporting software releases, production deployments, release validation, and defect resolution.

- Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering or AI release workflows, such as using AI tools for code assistance, test generation, release notes, quality checks, or engineering productivity.

- Working knowledge of APIs, application services, databases, and front-end or back-end application patterns.

- Hands-on experience building and maintaining OLTP databases, including relational data modeling, schema design, normalization, SQL query development, indexing, transaction handling, performance troubleshooting, and data integrity controls.

- Ability to support database changes for application releases, including migration scripts, version-controlled database updates, validation, rollback planning, and collaboration with engineering, QA, and release teams.

- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate technical updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft technology stacks such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure, SQL Server, or Azure DevOps.

- Experience with cloud-based application delivery, microservices, containers, or deployment automation.

- Familiarity with secure coding, privacy-aware development, accessibility, and release governance practices.

- Experience working with distributed teams or US-based clients.

- GitHub certifications, Microsoft Azure certifications, or relevant AI engineering learning credentials are a plus.
