Job Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Process Planning

- Design simplification by drawing study of new parts & identifying DFM, PQS-CTQ points.
- Identifying right process and process parameters.
- Process simplification
- AI driven processes

Flawless Manufacturing & Product quality enhancement
- Study, identify & resolve PRBFM points (Field failures, IHR & QSR)
- Proactive corrections in process to get zero defect supplies
- Study & improve process robustness

Cost reduction & Investment avoidance
- To generate VAVEs for cost reduction
- Right sizing of equipment for investment cost reduction

Defect free quick product Introduction
- Lead time reduction of fixtures/ tools
- To ensure necessary Poka Yoke/interlocks for fool proof manufacturing process.
- Auto program generation

SHE
- Green processes in Machining
- Resource conservation in Machining

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

- Knowledge of Casting process, Sand core process
- Expertise in Machine tools, Fixture concepts & Cutting tools




- Expertise in Machining simulations (CAM-CAD)
- Expertise in line balancing, Man-Machine balancing
- Expertise in CNC Programming
- Analytical capability to analyze & resolve the defects reported
- Thorough knowledge about various inspection techniques
- Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally.
- Good understanding of all applicable standards/ regulations and their application

Soft Skill set:

Excel, Power Point, SAP, Team Centre, NX Unigraphics, Simulation (CAM-CAD) analysis

Behavioral

- Effective communication with team, vendors and seniors.
- Candidate should be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment with deliveries on schedule.

Good Interdepartmental & R&D; co-ordination required.

Specific expertise required for functional area:

Casting side :

- Good knowledge of casting processes (HPDC,GDC, LPDC).
- Should be able to know about the defects observed in castings and their countermeasures

Machining side :

- Good knowledge of various machining processes required for Cyl.Head, Block & Crankcases such as Valve finishing, Honing, Fine boring etc.
- Good knowledge of Washing & Leak testing processes
- Familiar with CNC machine handling & programming with cutting tools & parameters
