Role Description The Merchandiser role (2 positions) is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The Merchandiser is responsible for coordinating between buyers, production, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of orders from sampling to shipment. Daily activities include managing product development, negotiating costs and timelines, tracking order status, and maintaining transparent communication with customers and suppliers.





The role involves reviewing tech packs and specifications, following up with production, quality, and logistics teams, and updating buyers on progress, changes, and approvals. The Merchandiser also supports sales and marketing initiatives by preparing product presentations, analyzing trends, and helping maintain strong long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Customer service capabilities to manage buyer requirements, handle queries, and build positive, long-term relationships.

Sales and retail-related skills to understand buyer expectations, market trends, and product positioning in fashion and apparel segments.

Marketing awareness to support product promotion, presentations, and coordination with design and sales teams.

Experience in apparel merchandising, textile or garment manufacturing, or related fields is highly beneficial.

Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously, with strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.

Proficiency in basic MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with ERP or order management systems.

Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Management, Business, or a related discipline.
