Alsisar Impact builds ventures alongside indigenous and local founders across the Himalayas, Northeast India, and other frontier geographies. Thirty five enterprises so far, across eight states and Union Territories, in climate, agriculture, health, mobility and livelihoods. The businesses are real, the founders are formidable, and most of the country has never heard of them. That is the gap we want you to close.
About a third of this role happens outside Mumbai. Ladakh, Sikkim, Mizoram, Assam, and wherever else our founders are building. You will be shooting at altitude, in monsoon, in workshops and orchards and cold storage units, alongside people running serious businesses in places most film crews never reach. Some of them will be the most interesting people you meet this year.
The rest of the time you are in the archive. Close to a decade of footage sits there. Founder interviews, field visits, launches, landscapes, sequences that were shot well and never cut. There are films in that material and nobody has had the time to find them. That hunt is genuinely yours to run.

A word on how we tell these stories. We show founders as founders, not as beneficiaries. Strength, clarity, and craft, never dependency. If the edit needs to be slow, it will be slow. Every frame should be doing something. Beyond that, the format is open. Long form, reels, verticals, motion work, whatever the story asks for. We would rather you argue for a new approach than execute an old one.
What we need from you is straightforward. You are based in Mumbai and comfortable with a hybrid arrangement. You can shoot competently on a camera or a phone and you understand framing, light and audio. You edit well, preferably on DaVinci Resolve, though Premiere or Final Cut are fine, and you own a machine that can handle it. You travel light, you keep your kit alive at 11,000 feet, and you are willing to spend time in places where the wifi is poor and the story is positive.
