Job Title: Mechatronics Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

Duration: 6-month internship (with possibility of PPO based on performance)

Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated Mechatronics Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing Division within the Engineering Department. This role offers hands-on exposure to the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of mechatronic systems, robotics, and automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in understanding engineering drawings, supporting manufacturability, and assisting in the production of electro-mechanical components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support real-world manufacturing, prototyping, and quality assurance activities

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in studying engineering drawings, design files, electrical schematics, and control logic.

· Support the coordination of procurement by helping to track raw materials, electrical components, sensors, and actuators.

· Assist in maintaining vendor records and tracking ongoing manufacturing against Bills of Materials (BOMs).

· Participate in the assembly of mechatronic prototypes, including mechanical structures, wiring, and basic sensor integration.

· Support quality checks and basic inspections on manufactured and purchased items to maintain conformance to specifications.

· Assist the R&D; division in testing prototypes, including functional and integration tests.





· Help maintain proper documentation of manufacturing processes, test reports, and quality inspection records.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree (recently completed, 4th-year student, or under 1 year of experience) in Mechatronics Engineering, Automation and Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering with a Mechatronics/Automation focus.

· Basic understanding of mechatronic system design concepts, including sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and control systems.

· Familiarity with or academic exposure to manufacturing processes such as 3D printing (FDM/SLA), machining, or basic fabrication concepts.

· Exposure to engineering drawings, GD&T; concepts, and basic electrical schematics.

Technical Skills (Preferred):

· Basic proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, NX12, or similar.

· Understanding of 3D modelling and assembly design.

· Basic knowledge of PLC programming concepts (Ladder Logic) or microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

· Familiarity with MS Excel or basic project tracking tools (like Microsoft Project or Planner).
