- Ability to independently develop detailed concepts

- Ability to support for validation of assemblies, various installations on Loco CAB Design / Train interiors Design

- Ability to define component and assemblies of sub-systems as per manufacturing & assembly concepts

- Knowledge on Tolerance stack-up analysis and recommend feasible solutions in accordance with manufacturing capabilities

- Ability to analyse and propose retrofit solution for existing design modifications

- Capable of selecting appropriate fasteners for various assemblies

- Positive drawing reading skills and dimensioning standard

- Well versed with GD&T;

- Hands-on experience on CATIA V5 and PLM platform like Enovia to create 3D models, 2D drawings and product structure

- Knowledge on manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of material properties, heat treatment and surface coating

- Knowledge on Rail industry standards for various regions
