Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

The Mechanical Design

Engineer will support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and products from concept through production. The role involves creating 3D CAD models, preparing engineering drawings, supporting prototype development, conducting basic design calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality.

Skills Required

Robust academic understanding of machine design, manufacturing processes, and engineering mechanics.

Basic knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards.

Familiarity with sheet metal, plastics, machining, and casting processes.

Knowledge of material properties and selection.

3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, or Autodesk Inventor)

AutoCAD

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Design for Assembly (DFA)

Tolerance analysis

Prototype development

Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR)

Basic understanding of quality tools such as 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Develop 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

Assist in the design and development of mechanical parts and assemblies.

Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.

Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing activities.

Participate in design reviews and implement engineering changes.

Perform basic engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up, and material selection.

Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability (DFM).

Support supplier interactions for component development.

Assist in root cause analysis and design improvements.

Maintain engineering documents according to company standards and revision control.

Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and quality requirements.

Design and prepare the test jigs and its validation

Participate in Controller assembly

Customer interactions required in related with design and fitment aspects Education qualification:

Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
