A Maximo Functional Consultant JD involves collaborating with clients to understand business needs, configuring and customizing Maximo software modules (Asset, Work, Inventory Management), providing functional support, training users, and assisting with testing and data migration . Key responsibilities include analyzing requirements, documenting solutions, and recommending improvements to optimize asset management processes for various industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Client Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges related to asset and maintenance management.

- Maximo Configuration: Configure and implement core Maximo modules like Asset Management, Work Management, Preventive Maintenance, Inventory, and Procurement.

- Functional Support: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the Maximo application.

- Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver end-user training sessions and create detailed documentation for system configurations and business processes.

- Testing & Data Migration: Assist with system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and data migration activities.

- System Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Maximo with other enterprise systems like ERP, GIS, and IoT platforms.

- Process Improvement:



Recommend and implement process improvements using Maximo functionalities and best practices to optimize asset performance and efficiency.

- Reporting & Dashboards: Support the development of reports and dashboards to provide insights into asset performance and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

- Maximo Expertise: Deep knowledge of Maximo modules and their functional capabilities.
- Business Process Analysis: Ability to analyze client business processes and translate them into effective Maximo solutions.
- Configuration & Customization: Experience with Maximos application designer, workflow tools, and data import facilities.
- Project Management: Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for Maximo implementations.
- SQL & Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL and working with databases (e.g., Oracle).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities to address client issues.
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with how Maximo is used in industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, and transportation.
