Role Overview The Marketing Operations Manager will lead a team of marketing executives and coordinators while owning end-to-end strategy, delivery, and performance across multiple client accounts. This is a people-management role: the incumbent will build and manage a team, own budgets and resourcing decisions, and be accountable for the commercial and operational health of their portfolio — in addition to the strategic marketing, communications, and stakeholder-engagement responsibilities of the function.

The ideal candidate is a proven people leader who is client-focused, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams and direct reports while ensuring quality, timeliness, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Team & People Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor a team of marketing executives, coordinators, and associates across client accounts.
- Set individual and team goals, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and manage career development plans.
- Own hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning for the marketing operations team.
- Allocate work across the team based on client priorities, individual strengths, and capacity.
- Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage performance issues, provide coaching, and escalate/resolve people matters in partnership with HR.

Client & Account Management

- Own and manage multiple client accounts as the senior point of contact, with escalation authority.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders up to CXO level and ensure high client satisfaction.
- Translate client business objectives into marketing and communications strategy and plans.
- Lead client strategy sessions, quarterly business reviews, and renewal/expansion conversations.
- Own account-level commercial outcomes, including scope, resourcing, and budget utilization.

Marketing Operations & Delivery

- Direct execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, PR, employer branding, content, events, and internal communications.
- Set delivery standards and quality benchmarks for the team; review and approve major deliverables before client submission.
- Own marketing operations budgets across accounts, including vendor and agency spend.
- Build and maintain delivery dashboards, resourcing plans, and portfolio-level operating cadences.
- Manage marketing calendars and prioritization across multiple accounts and team members.

Communications

- Set direction for executive communications, thought leadership, newsletters, social content, and case studies, and delegate execution to the team.
- Own final quality and messaging sign-off, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand positioning.

Project & Stakeholder Management

- Oversee multiple concurrent projects and workstreams with competing priorities across the team.
- Coordinate cross-functional and cross-team execution with design, content, digital, and PR functions.
- Proactively identify delivery and resourcing risks and drive mitigation plans.
- Provide structured, timely updates to clients and to MOAR leadership on account and team performance.

Reporting & Performance

- Own campaign performance reporting and marketing KPIs across the portfolio.
- Present monthly and quarterly business reviews to clients and internal leadership, with insights and recommendations.
- Drive process improvements, playbooks, and operating efficiencies across the marketing function.

- 10–14 years of experience in marketing, communications, account management, or marketing operations, including 3–5 years directly managing a team.
