Position Overview :

We are looking for a senior, hands-on automation engineer to design, build and ship production-grade automations within our RPA & AI Centre of Excellence. This is a deep individual-contributor role for a builder who codes daily someone who has personally delivered a large volume of bots across platforms and is now extending automation into GenAI and agentic AI.

You will own solutions end to end : from process assessment and solution design through development, deployment, monitoring and hypercare. The "Manager" designation reflects seniority and band, not people management your leverage comes from technical depth, code quality and the ability to solve automation problems others cannot.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and build automations end to end across multiple RPA platforms and Python, including complex, unattended and high-availability bots.
- Engineer reusable Python components, custom activities, API integrations and error-handling frameworks that raise the reliability and maintainability of the bot estate.
- Embed GenAI and agentic AI into automation workflows LLM-based document understanding, intelligent decisioning, retrieval-augmented generation and multi-agent orchestration.
- Assess candidate processes for automation feasibility, draw up solution design documents (SDDs) and make platform recommendations (attended vs unattended, RPA vs API vs agentic).
- Deploy bots into production with robust logging, exception handling, credential management and monitoring; run hypercare and drive down failure rates post go-live.
- Maintain and improve existing bots refactor brittle automations, resolve production incidents, and optimise run-time and cost across the estate.
- Partner with business, IT and data teams to integrate automations with core systems (ERP,



data warehouse, ticketing, M365) and enforce security, audit and governance standards.
- Champion code standards, peer reviews and reusable asset libraries, and mentor junior developers on engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

- 6 years of hands-on experience in RPA / Intelligent Automation delivery.
- Demonstrable track record of building and shipping at least 20 production bots, with explicit ownership and measurable business impact.
- Python coding ability you write production Python, not just scripts (REST/API integration, data handling, testing).
- Platform-agnostic RPA expertise deep hands-on experience in at least one, and working fluency in more than one, of UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate or Blue Prism.
- Practical experience applying GenAI / agentic AI in real workflows LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and at least one agent framework or agent-builder platform.
- Solid grounding in solution design, exception handling, orchestration, and secure credential management for unattended automations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Technical Skills :

- RPA platforms : Power Automate, UiPath.
- Programming : Python (primary); familiarity with SQL and one scripting/markup language (PowerShell, VBScript, JSON/XML).
- AI / GenAI : LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, and an agent framework (e.g. Microsoft Agent Framework) or Copilot Studio.
- Integration : REST APIs, webhooks, and integration with ERP (SAP), data warehouses, ticketing and M365.
- Engineering : Git-based version control, CI/CD for bots, orchestrator/control-room administration, and logging & monitoring.

Good To Have :

- Platform certifications (UiPath Advanced Developer, Power Platform).
- Exposure to Azure / cloud services, containers, and the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Experience with document intelligence / computer vision (OCR, IDP) and Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of process excellence / BPM and automation governance in a CoE setting
