Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Manager to oversee, manage, and optimize SAP landscapes operating on SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) / RISE with SAP. You will ensure system stability, high availability, security compliance, and performance optimization across the SAP landscape. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong operational and project management capabilities in a predominantly managed private cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Landscape Management & Operations :

- Manage, monitor, and optimize SAP landscapes running on SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) / RISE with SAP.
- Ensure system stability, high availability, security compliance, and performance optimization across the SAP landscape.
- Provide timely second-level expert support for incident resolution and application maintenance to minimize business impact.

Project & Operational Delivery :

- Execute assigned project and operational tasks within areas of demonstrated competence.
- Facilitate project meetings, follow up on action points and deliverables, and manage communication and reporting.
- Design efficient, high-quality, harmonized, and business-aligned technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions adhere to best practices, legal requirements, and group standards within change management procedures.

Additional Responsibilities :

- Deputy for the SAP Basis Architect and other SAP Technology colleagues as required.




- Maintain current technical skills to drive continuous improvement aligned with group IT strategy and business goals.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the role and professional skills as directed by management.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven experience in SAP Basis administration and landscape management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and/or RISE with SAP.
- Strong knowledge of SAP system administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and high availability configurations.
- Experience providing second-level support in incident resolution and application maintenance.
- Solid project execution skills including coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to design and implement technical solutions aligned with business needs, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Solid English proficiency (spoken and written); German language skills are a significant advantage.
- Excellent technical and business-facing communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with focus on problem-solving; self-organized and result-oriented.
