Job Title: Manager – Project Planning & Control

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Project Planning & Control to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role requires strong managerial capabilities along with expertise in project controls, data analysis, and performance tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera / MS Project.
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), milestones, and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify deviations.

Project Monitoring & Control:

- Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques for performance tracking.
- Analyze Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Variance (CV), and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic project reviews (weekly/monthly) and present progress reports to management.

Data Management & Analysis:

- Handle large volumes of project data and generate actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and data visualization for decision-making.
- Maintain project databases, historical data, and benchmarking metrics.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.

Resource Planning & Optimization:

- Plan and allocate resources (manpower, machinery, materials) effectively.
- Monitor resource productivity and utilization.
- Implement resource leveling and optimization strategies.

Cost Control & Budget Monitoring:

- Track project costs against budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinate with billing and commercial teams for cost reporting.




- Identify cost-saving opportunities and control overruns.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination:

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams for planning inputs.
- Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) and other client deliverables.
- Participate in review meetings and present planning insights.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead and mentor planning engineers and project control teams.
- Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality output.
- Foster a performance-driven and cooperative team environment.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project .
- In-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project control techniques.
- Excellent data analysis, MIS reporting, and dashboard creation skills.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure projects (highway, railway, runway, Building, etc.) .
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
- PMP / Planning-related certifications will be an added advantage

Experience:

- 8–15 years of experience in infrastructure / construction projects
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or lead planning role
- Proven experience in handling large-scale projects and teams
