Job Title: Manager – Project Planning & Control

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Manager – Project Planning & Control to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role requires strong managerial capabilities along with expertise in project controls, data analysis, and performance tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution. Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera / MS Project.

Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), milestones, and project timelines.

Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and identify deviations.

Project Monitoring & Control:

Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques for performance tracking.

Analyze Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Variance (CV), and recommend corrective actions.

Conduct periodic project reviews (weekly/monthly) and present progress reports to management.

Data Management & Analysis:

Handle large volumes of project data and generate actionable insights.

Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and data visualization for decision-making.

Maintain project databases, historical data, and benchmarking metrics.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.

Resource Planning & Optimization:

Plan and allocate resources (manpower, machinery, materials) effectively.

Monitor resource productivity and utilization.

Implement resource leveling and optimization strategies.

Cost Control & Budget Monitoring:

Track project costs against budgets and forecasts.

Coordinate with billing and commercial teams for cost reporting.





Identify cost-saving opportunities and control overruns.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination:

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams for planning inputs.

Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) and other client deliverables.

Participate in review meetings and present planning insights.

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor planning engineers and project control teams.

Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure quality output.

Foster a performance-driven and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

In-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project control techniques.

Excellent data analysis, MIS reporting, and dashboard creation skills.

Strong understanding of infrastructure projects (highway, railway, runway, Building, etc.).

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

PMP / Planning-related certifications will be an added advantage Experience:

8–15 years of experience in infrastructure / construction projects

Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or lead planning role

Proven experience in handling large-scale projects and teams Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Accuracy of project forecasts and reports

Resource utilization efficiency

Cost variance control

Quality and timeliness of MIS reporting
