Workday Functional Consultant (Techno-Functional Anchor)

Job Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Workday Functional Consultant to serve as the techno-functional anchor for Workday across our HR Operations. In this strategic role, you will bridge the gap between HR business needs and scalable Workday solutions. You will collaborate closely with external implementation partners, drive stakeholder alignment, validate technical designs, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of a highly compliant Workday HCM ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Partner Collaboration

- Act as the core techno-functional anchor for Workday across all HR function.
- Translate complex HR business needs into scalable, long-term Workday solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the implementation partner on design, configuration, and integrations.
- Review and validate technical solution approaches to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Drive critical stakeholder discussions across HR leadership, internal IT, and third-party vendors.
- Manage project delivery by supporting testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

End-to-End Module Design & Implementation

- Design, implement, and maintain diverse Workday HCM modules.
- Oversee core configurations for Core HR, Perks, Compensation, and Recruiting.
- Map operational setups to corporate data architecture inside the Workday Tenant.
- Build and manage supervisory organizations, cost centers, and locations.




- Implement feature upgrades and enhancements during Workday bi-annual releases.

Cross-Module HR Domain Expertise

- Leverage a strong background in HR domains (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting).
- Evaluate, map, and safeguard intricate cross-module system dependencies.
- Build functional frameworks that align global operations with local regulations.
- Audit business asset allocations and core system configurations regularly.

Advanced Reporting & Analytics

- Create advanced, matrix, composite, and trended custom reports.
- Build custom fields utilizing complex calculated expressions.
- Design interactive dashboards tracking HCM, usage, and compliance analytics.
- Profile dedicated tracking metrics specifically for Time and Absence compliance.
- Establish secure, automated report distribution schedules.

Mass Data Management & Security

- Execute mass data loads and configuration adjustments using Workday EIBs.
- Cleanse, extract, and reconcile large datasets during bulk data migrations.
- Assign domain and business process security policies to security groups.
- Manage user access permissions, role assignments, and data partitioning

QA, Testing & Functional Support

- Analyze complex break-fix issues and identify system defects.
- Document technical specifications derived from business requirements.
- Author comprehensive functional test case scenarios to support UAT cycles.
- Provide dedicated post-production training and support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot system configuration bugs and data migration errors.
