Job Purpose Summary
The incumbent will assist the SVP Finance on all aspects of Financial Control and administration issues of QNB business in India. Education/Experience Requirements
:Hands on experience on Central Bank's regulatory reportin gGood working knowledge of Direct & Indirect taxes related to banking industr yEnd to end working knowledge of vendor management & vendor payment sGood knowledge of financial reporting, MIS, Budgeting, Forecasting, Performance v/s Budget sUniversity Graduate with a major preferably in finance, accountancy or related subjects
,Minimum 6 years’ experience, preferable in the banking industr yExcellent oral and written communication skill s
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimension s:
Shareholder & Financi al:Assist SVP Finance in developing mechanisms designed to ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations and also international laws and regulatio ns.Assist SVP Finance in performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes pertaining to the financial control related proce ss.Observes and promotes cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the b ank
Customer (Internal & Extern al):Establish and enhance relationships with regulatory authorities to ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are complied w ith.Assist the SVP Finance in liaising with external auditors on matters pertaining to presentation and disclosure of financial statements, emerging financial reporting trends, impacts of proposed accounting standards etc.Build and maintain solid and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the branch’s goals/ objecti ves.Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as and when requi red.
Internal (Processes, Products,
Regulat ory):Responsible for the preparation of Country Statutory Returns for Central Bank and other local regulatory bodies as per local require mentsAnalyses data from statements, ledgers, accounts,
etc.Identifies and undertakes initial investigation of variances against budgets and stand ards.Collates and extracts data and produces routine reports, schedules, summaries, and letters for customers and suppl iers.Responsible for processing of invoices and associated accruals and pre-payments as well as fixed assets, in line with company procedures and authorization requirem ents.Responsible for the preparation of the MIS Pack containing various MIS and ALCO related information required by Group Financial Control/Head Office (HO).Support SVP Finance in compiling and reviewing Daily Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss for Count ry GMPrepare reconciliation of all Nostro accounts including follow up of long outstanding items and reviews Nostro accounts for consistency of Balances and Transactions. Report exceptions to manage ment.Responsible for processing of invoices and associated accruals and pre-payments as well as fixed assets, in line with company procedures and authorization requirem ents.Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
Learning & Know ledge:Possess superior knowledge of finance related business processes and controls in all related operational areas.Maintain an understanding of all pertinent regulations as well as best practices pertaining to financial repo rting.
Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibi lities:Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing P olicy).
