Company Description Mining Engineering Services (MES), founded in 2010, is a major EPCM contractor in the Democratic Republic of Congo, delivering integrated solutions across design, engineering, procurement, plant erection, and commissioning. The company provides comprehensive power sector services, including transmission and distribution lines, as well as manpower, maintenance, spares, and equipment rental.

MES also manufactures HDPE pipes, cathodes and anode plates, lead ingots, electrical wires, and cables, and operates recycling plants for copper and lead scraps, batteries, and used oil. As a one-stop solution provider for mining needs, MES combines industrial manufacturing, engineering expertise, and sustainable practices to support complex mining operations.

Role Description The Manager Estimation Electrical is a full time, on-site role based in Vadodara. This role is responsible for preparing detailed electrical estimates for mining and power-related projects, including material take-offs, labor costs, and equipment requirements.

The position involves reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with design and engineering teams, and ensuring estimates align with technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. The manager will participate in bid preparation, support tender negotiations, and track cost variances during project execution to refine future estimation models.



The role includes collaborating with project managers, vendors, and procurement teams to validate pricing, timelines, and scope, while maintaining accurate documentation and estimation tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of industrial and power systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Distribution, including reading drawings, designing layouts, and planning distribution networks.
- Candidates should possess experience in Electrical Maintenance, particularly in mining, heavy industry, or power sector environments.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and tender preparation for electrical projects.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM projects, preferably within mining, industrial, or power transmission and distribution sectors.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, standards, and codes, and apply them to practical estimation work.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Excel and estimation or ERP software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, procurement, and site teams.
