(M4) Leads and manages a multidisciplinary team, driving Recent Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives from concept through engineering release. Oversee design, development, DFMA evaluation, validation, and complete engineering release cycle activities while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and performance objectives. Establishes and enhances engineering processes, technical standards, and best practices to support efficient product development, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge and exposure to AI/ML implementation in engineering design, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives will be considered an added advantage.

Primary responsibility: Lead and manage a moderately sized team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities





Collaborate with Bangalore operations on lighting products to ensure product alignment with company goals and customer requirements. Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Software, Drafting, Manufacturing, Operations and project management

Ensure quality control and quality assurance processes are in place and followed

Stay up to date with industry developments, advancements, and emerging technologies

Develop and maintain customer and stakeholders’ relationships and identify new business opportunities

Manage and resolve technical issues, conflicts, and changes in project scope. Drive continuous improvement in products & processes and implement them. Valuable knowledge of Lean tools and should be able to apply those in regular work

Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders. Talent development & management including hiring, training, mentoring & retention. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience

Sound knowledge in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals

Knowledge of Aerospace Standards (DO-160)

Exposure to Catia/ MBD / Teamcenter Tools

Good experience in DFMA / GD&T; / Stack-up analysis Leadership Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
