Team Leadership: Approximately 20 analytics and reporting professionals About the Role We are seeking an experienced, hands-on data and business intelligence leader to manage and develop an established Analytics and Reporting Team.
The team currently delivers operational reporting, management dashboards, business reviews, and recurring performance information. The successful candidate will strengthen these capabilities while progressively developing the function into a broader data analytics and decision-support team.
This role requires a combination of people leadership, business analysis, reporting expertise, data literacy, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery. The manager will be expected to understand business requirements in detail, improve the quality and usefulness of existing reporting, establish stronger data and reporting standards, and lead future data initiatives connected with the organization’s transformation agenda.

Recruit and develop analytics, business intelligence, and data professionals as the function expands. Reporting and Business Intelligence
Oversee recurring operational, management, client, and executive reporting.
Improve the accuracy, consistency, timeliness, usability, and visual quality of reports and dashboards.
Lead the preparation of quarterly business reviews, annual business reviews, performance packs, and management dashboards.
Rationalize duplicated or low-value reports and establish a controlled reporting catalogue.
Ensure reports provide interpretation, trends, exceptions, and recommended actions rather than simply presenting data.
Develop executive-ready reporting that converts operational data into clear business insights.
Business
Analysis and Requirements Management
Conduct discovery sessions with business leaders, operational teams, finance, technology, and other stakeholders.
Translate business questions into defined data,
reporting, dashboard, and analytical requirements.
Document business definitions, calculation logic, data fields, filters, reporting frequencies, user groups, and acceptance criteria.
Challenge unclear or conflicting requirements and establish a single agreed interpretation.
Ensure dashboards and reports are designed around business decisions and user needs.
Maintain traceability between business requirements, source data, calculations, and final outputs. Data Analytics and Transformation
Develop the team’s capability beyond traditional reporting into diagnostic, predictive, and decision-support analytics.
Identify opportunities to use data to improve productivity, quality, capacity management, workforce planning, client service, and operational performance.
Lead enterprise data projects connected with the organization’s transformation strategy.
Work with business and technology teams to identify required data sources, integration needs, and analytical models.
Support the development of data products, self-service analytics, forecasting models, capacity models, and performance-management solutions.
Evaluate appropriate uses of AI and automation within reporting, data preparation, analysis, and insight generation. Data Quality and Governance
Establish clear definitions, ownership, validation standards, reconciliation processes, and quality controls for critical data and metrics.
Develop and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, metric definitions, report inventories, and data-quality dashboards.
Identify root causes of data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with source-system owners.
Strengthen controls covering report production, access, version management, confidentiality, and change approval.
Partner with technology, information security, privacy, and governance teams to ensure responsible use of organizational data.
Create transparent escalation mechanisms for significant data-quality or reporting issues. Stakeholder and Portfolio Management
Serve as the primary interface between the Analytics and Reporting Team and senior business stakeholders.
Establish demand-management and prioritization mechanisms for reports, dashboards, and analytical projects.
Manage the portfolio of recurring reporting and transformation initiatives.
Communicate delivery status, risks, dependencies, resource requirements,
and recommendations to leadership.
Develop service-level measures and stakeholder-feedback mechanisms.
Work with internal technology teams and vendors on data platforms, reporting tools, integrations, and analytical solutions.
Required Qualifications and Experience

At least 4 years of experience leading a reporting, BI, analytics, or data team.
Demonstrated experience managing teams of meaningful scale and complexity.
Strong experience with management dashboards, executive reporting, operational reporting, and business-performance analysis.
Advanced working knowledge of Power BI or an equivalent enterprise BI platform.
Strong experience in business requirements gathering, metric definition, data validation, and stakeholder management.
Valuable understanding of relational data, data models, reporting architecture, and data-quality principles.

Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, data analytics, project management, business analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile delivery.
Experience in global capability centres, shared services, professional services, or other high-volume operational environments.
The Profile We Are Looking
For The successful candidate must be comfortable moving between team leadership, stakeholder discussions, requirements documentation, dashboard reviews, data-quality investigations, and strategic data projects. A candidate who has only managed report production without improving business insight is unlikely to be suitable. Similarly, a highly technical data engineer without strong business and proven people-management capabilities would not meet the requirements of this role.
