Role & responsibilities

- Plan, execute, monitor, and complete civil construction and infrastructure projects within defined timelines and budgets.

- Lead plant expansion, greenfield/brownfield projects, renovation, and facility modification activities.

- Review civil layouts, architectural drawings, structural drawings, BOQs, and engineering designs before execution.

- Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.

- Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with engineering standards, GMP requirements, and safety regulations.

- Manage installation and commissioning support for pharmaceutical utilities and infrastructure, including boilers, chillers, DG sets, air compressors, ETP, water systems, and utility buildings.

- Prepare project budgets, schedules, work approvals, cost estimates, and resource plans.

- Monitor contractor performance, quality of workmanship, material consumption, and project progress.

- Conduct project review meetings and implement corrective actions to remove execution bottlenecks.





- Ensure statutory approvals and regulatory compliance related to civil projects.

- Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance of civil infrastructure across the plant.

- Verify contractor bills, measurements, change orders, and project documentation.

- Maintain engineering documentation, project reports, layouts, as-built drawings, and validation support documents.

- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to EHS, quality systems, and company SOPs during project execution.

Experience

- 12-15 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Projects, and Plant Engineering.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.

- Experience in plant expansion, construction, facility management, and infrastructure development.

- Exposure to regulated pharmaceutical facilities (USFDA/EU-GMP compliant plants preferred).
