Maintenance Incharge – Job Profile

Job Purpose To ensure the smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operation of all plant machinery, equipment, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and utilities by effectively managing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

MAINTENANCE INCHARGE – JOB PROFILE

- Responsible for overall electrical and mechanical maintenance of the steel plant.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of 66 kV and 11 kV HT systems, substations, transformers, VCBs, HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
- Maintenance and repair of Induction Furnaces, furnace panels, transformers, rectifiers, capacitors, cooling systems, and furnace electrical equipment.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of motors, VFDs, soft starters, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, EOT cranes, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
- Supervise electricians, fitters, technicians, and maintenance staff and allocate daily maintenance work.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



of repeated breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with OEMs, service engineers, AMC vendors, contractors, Stores, and Purchase Department for maintenance and spare parts.
- Maintain proper records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, repairs, spare consumption, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO, earthing, PPE, and statutory safety requirements.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability, minimum downtime, and uninterrupted plant production.

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance of steel plants, induction furnaces, rolling mills, HT/LT electrical systems, 66 kV/11 kV substations, motors, panels, and industrial equipment. Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
