Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Test Lead to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading testing efforts on mainframe applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe testing methodologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the testing efforts for mainframe applications, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
- Perform thorough analysis of test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices and testing methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing processes throughout the software development lifecycle.




- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on testing progress and challenges.
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Mandatory Skills:

- Proven expertise in mainframe testing, including knowledge of mainframe technologies and tools.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks for mainframe applications.
- Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in mainframe environments, such as COBOL or JCL.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
- Understanding of database testing and data validation techniques.
- Certifications in software testing or quality assurance are a plus.
