Description

Machine Learning Engineer role on Adobe’s Search, Discovery, and Content AI team. Focused on search, recommendation, content understanding, and generative AI at large scale.

Role: Machine Learning Engineer

Experience

- 6–9 years of industry experience building and deploying machine learning systems at scale

- Experience engineering SaaS-based software

- Proficiency in Python for ML/AI

- Java is good to have for production-grade systems

- Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

- Solid understanding of linear algebra, statistics, optimization, and numerical methods

- Experience with deep learning for computer vision, natural language understanding, or multimodal AI

- Track record of delivering ML solutions to production, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability

- Practical experience processing data at large scale

- Experience with AWS resources

- Experience with search engine technology

- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Spark, or Hadoop

- Solid problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize machine learning models and algorithms for search, recommendation, and content understanding across diverse content types

- Build and deploy scalable generative AI solutions for intelligent content discovery and contextual recommendations

- Work on Firefly, Creative Cloud suite, Document Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Stock related discovery experiences

- Handle data ingestion, search indexing, analytics,



and distributed computing for real-time large-scale asset indexing

- Improve ranking and recommendations within the search workflow

- Maintain and enhance the search engine

- Integrate ML models into production systems with high performance and reliability

- Research and implement techniques in language comprehension, computer vision, and multimodal learning

- Contribute to the end-to-end ML pipeline including preprocessing, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring

- Optimize computational efficiency for real-time, large-scale applications

- Partner with product teams to identify customer needs and translate them into solutions that prioritize usability and performance

- Mentor junior engineers and multi-functional collaborators

Additional Responsibilities

- Build platforms that index billions of images, documents, and other assets in real time

- Develop new features using Elastic Search, REST web services, SQS/Kafka, Hadoop, and deep learning

- Use analytics and machine learning to improve ranking and recommendations within search

Nice To Have

- Experience with generative AI such as Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, or Midjourney

- Experience with Elastic Search or Solr and building indexing pipelines

- Knowledge of computational geometry, 3D modeling, or animation pipelines

- Familiarity with real-time recommendation systems or search indexing

- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences in relevant fields

- Experience with web services and REST

- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
