Job Title: Project Head / Project Director

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced, strategic, and result-oriented Project Head to provide overall leadership and direction for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate should have 1825 years of professional experience, with a proven track record of independently managing and successfully delivering large projects involving 1,000+ manpower in the government or private sector.

The candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, performance, governance, and successful delivery of the project. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, experience in managing large and geographically distributed teams, stakeholder management, project governance, resource optimization, risk management, and coordination with senior management, government authorities, clients, and other key stakeholders.

Proficiency in English and Bengali reading, writing, and speaking is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall strategic leadership, direction, and operational oversight for the project.
- Lead and manage large-scale projects involving 1,000+ manpower, ensuring effective deployment, productivity, performance, and accountability.
- Develop and implement project strategies, execution plans, operational frameworks, timelines, milestones, and performance targets.
- Ensure the successful execution and timely completion of all project activities, deliverables, and contractual obligations.
- Lead and supervise Project Managers, departmental heads, regional teams, field teams, supervisors, consultants, vendors, and other project personnel.
- Establish a clear project governance structure and ensure effective coordination between project teams, senior management, clients, government authorities,



and other stakeholders.
- Monitor overall project performance, manpower utilization, operational efficiency, service quality, timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators.
- Review project progress regularly and take timely corrective and preventive actions to address delays, operational challenges, performance gaps, and project risks.
- Coordinate with government departments, municipal bodies, public authorities, clients, and other external stakeholders, as required.
- Represent the organization in high-level meetings, project review meetings, client discussions, government meetings, and stakeholder interactions.
- Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with approved plans, contractual requirements, organizational policies, applicable regulations, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement systems for project monitoring, reporting, performance evaluation, escalation, and issue resolution.
- Review MIS reports, project dashboards, operational reports, performance reports, and presentations, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Conduct regular review meetings with Project Managers, departmental heads, and senior project teams and ensure timely closure of action points.
- Identify project risks, operational challenges, resource gaps, compliance issues, and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support manpower planning, senior-level recruitment,



workforce deployment, succession planning, and capability development for the project.
- Provide regular strategic updates, project performance reports, and recommendations to the senior management.
- Travel extensively to project locations, regional offices, field sites, and stakeholder locations, as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in any discipline.
- A Masters degree or professional certification in Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field will be preferred.
- 1825 years of overall qualified experience in project management, project execution, operations, infrastructure, government projects, public-sector projects, large-scale service delivery, or similar domains.
- Proven experience in independently leading and managing a large-scale project involving 1,000+ manpower.
- Experience in managing projects in the government or private sector is mandatory.
- Proven ability to manage Project Managers, senior leadership teams, departmental heads, field teams, supervisors, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex operational challenges, project risks, escalations, and critical decision-making.
- Strong strategic planning, project governance, execution, monitoring, and performance-management capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, people-management, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- English and Bengali reading, writing, and speaking proficiency is compulsory.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations and field sites, as required.
