We are looking for a LegalTech Product Counsel to bridge the gap between legal, product, engineering, and business teams. In this role, you will ensure that Lawxy's products are legally sound, compliant, commercially viable, and designed with regulatory requirements built in from the start.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, AI Specialists, and the Legal team to translate legal requirements into product functionality and help build innovative digital legal solutions.

Partner with Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Provide legal guidance during product ideation, design, development, testing, and launch.

Embed legal and regulatory requirements into product features from the earliest stages.

Advise leadership on legal implications of new products, services, and platform enhancements.

Support the development of scalable LegalTech products aligned with Lawxy's strategic vision.

Review of Digital Products

Review product features to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Assess legal risks associated with new technologies, automation, and AI-enabled services.

Draft and review product-related legal documentation, including:

Privacy Policies

User Agreements

Consent Frameworks

Ensure customer-facing legal documentation remains current and compliant. Regulatory & Compliance Advisory

Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting LegalTech, AI, SaaS,



and digital services.

Advise on compliance with data protection, consumer protection, e-commerce, and technology laws.

Collaborate with compliance teams to implement regulatory requirements across products.

Develop internal guidance on legal obligations affecting product development. AI & Emerging Technology Governance

Advise on responsible use of Artificial Intelligence within Lawxy products.

Evaluate legal risks relating to AI-generated outputs, automated decision-making, and machine learning models.

Support development of AI governance policies and responsible innovation frameworks.

Work with technical teams to implement appropriate legal safeguards for AI-enabled products. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as the primary legal partner for Product, Technology, Design, Customer Success, and Business teams.

Translate complex legal concepts into practical product requirements.

Participate in product roadmap discussions and feature prioritization.

Support go-to-market strategies from a legal and regulatory perspective.

Intellectual

Property & Innovation

Advise on ownership and protection of software, proprietary technology, algorithms, and digital assets.

Support trademark, copyright, and intellectual property strategy for Lawxy products.

Review licensing arrangements involving software, APIs, datasets, and third-party platforms.

Protect Lawxy's technology assets through appropriate legal frameworks. Commercial & Technology Agreements

Draft, review, and negotiate agreements relating to:

Software licensing

SaaS subscriptions

API integrations

Technology partnerships

Product collaborations

Cloud services

Vendor technology contracts

Support enterprise customer negotiations involving product-specific legal requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve legal workflows using technology.

Recommend automation opportunities within the legal function.

Contribute to the development of legal knowledge repositories, playbooks, and product guidance.

Help establish Lawxy as a leader in LegalTech innovation. What We're Looking For





Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification; enrollment with the relevant Bar Council or licensing authority preferred.

6–10 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years supporting technology, SaaS, software, digital platforms, or LegalTech products.

Robust understanding of

Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams, or Technology leadership.

Experience reviewing software products, digital platforms, or AI-enabled solutions.

Ability to communicate complex legal issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-led startup environment.

Preferred

Qualifications

Experience at a LegalTech, SaaS, FinTech, or enterprise technology company.

Familiarity with AI governance, algorithmic accountability, and responsible technology principles.

Experience supporting agile product development teams.

Knowledge of global privacy frameworks such as GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, or similar regulations.

Exposure to contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, legal automation tools, or workflow management systems.

Demonstrated experience launching or supporting digital products from concept to market.
