Legal Associate – Litigation & Legal Coordinator.

Experience: 2–4 Years

Location: Pune (Full-Time | On-Site)

This is an in-house litigation support and legal coordination role. The successful candidate will work closely with senior advocates and external law firms representing the Company across a diverse range of civil, commercial, criminal and regulatory matters.

The role focuses on understanding the facts of each matter, preparing case briefs, coordinating litigation strategy, supporting court proceedings, conducting legal research, tracking ongoing matters and safeguarding the Company's legal interests. While the role involves attending court proceedings and handling routine appearances, complex arguments and strategic litigation will continue to be led by senior advocates and external counsel.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Coordination & Case Management

- Act as the primary in-house legal coordinator for ongoing litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters.
- Maintain complete case records, pleadings, evidence, correspondence and supporting documentation.
- Track court dates, filing deadlines, limitation periods and compliance timelines across all matters.
- Coordinate efficiently with external advocates, senior counsel, court clerks and internal stakeholders to ensure timely action on every case.
- Maintain a structured litigation management system and regularly update management on the progress of each matter.

Case Preparation & Briefing

- Study the complete factual background of every case and develop a transparent understanding of the legal and commercial issues involved.
- Analyse the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and legal risks associated with each matter.
- Prepare internal case notes, factual chronologies, briefing papers and management summaries.




- Assist senior advocates by providing complete factual inputs, supporting documents, annexures and evidence required for drafting and arguments.
- Review drafts received from external advocates to ensure factual accuracy, consistency and completeness before filing.

Legal Research & Drafting

- Conduct legal research on statutes, judicial precedents and recent judgments relevant to ongoing matters.
- Identify supporting case laws and prepare research notes for internal use and discussions with senior counsel.
- Draft routine legal notices, replies, representations, applications, affidavits and correspondence.
- Assist in preparing documentation for court proceedings, arbitration matters and regulatory authorities.

Court Representation

- Attend court proceedings on behalf of the Company whenever required.
- Mark appearances, obtain certified copies, monitor procedural hearings and coordinate routine court work.
- Assist with filing, registry compliance, document submissions and other procedural requirements.
- Support senior advocates during hearings by ensuring all case records, documents and factual information are readily available.

Corporate & Commercial Legal Support

- Draft and review NDAs, confidentiality agreements, domestic and international distribution agreements, commercial contracts and other business documentation.
- Assist with intellectual property matters, including legal notices, infringement matters and coordination with IP professionals.
- Support recovery matters, statutory notices,



compliance-related documentation and other legal requirements arising during business operations.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Serve as the primary point of coordination between management, external advocates, senior counsel and consultants.
- Ensure that all legal professionals engaged by the Company receive timely instructions, accurate facts and complete documentation.
- Follow up on pending actions, court directions, legal opinions and documentation to ensure matters progress without unnecessary delay.
- Protect the Company's legal interests by ensuring effective communication, timely execution and meticulous documentation throughout every matter.

Desired Candidate Profile

- LL.B. degree from a recognised university (LL.M. will be an added advantage).
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- Sound understanding of civil and criminal court procedures.
- Strong drafting and legal research skills.
- Ability to analyse case facts, identify legal issues and prepare comprehensive briefing notes.
- Comfortable attending courts, government offices and police stations whenever required.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Marathi will be an added advantage.
- Pune-based candidates will be preferred.
