We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise infrastructure spanning Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Linux, storage platforms, SAN fabrics, Ethernet networking, virtualization, and datacenter operations.

The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise across Microsoft and Linux environments and is capable of independently designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.

This is a senior-level position requiring solid technical leadership, operational discipline, documentation rigor, and the ability to mentor junior administrators while driving infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Windows Infrastructure & Active Directory

Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (2019 / 2022 / 2025).

Design and manage Active Directory domains, forests, trusts, sites, and services.

Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, PKI, and identity services.

Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration and hybrid identity solutions.

Perform Active Directory health assessments, replication troubleshooting, and security hardening.

Support file services, print services, Remote Desktop Services, and Windows clustering.

Linux Administration

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems across enterprise distributions:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) / Rocky Linux / Oracle Linux

Ubuntu / SUSE Linux Enterprise Server

Manage user authentication, SELinux policies, system performance tuning, patching, and package repositories.

Develop and maintain Bash, PowerShell,



and Python automation scripts.

Support enterprise services including NFS, Samba, DNS, SSH, and web services.

Storage Administration

Administer enterprise storage platforms including Hitachi VSP, Dell/EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, and HPE Alletra/Nimble.

Configure and manage Fibre Channel SAN, iSCSI storage, and NAS infrastructure.

Implement and maintain storage replication technologies, snapshot management, and disaster recovery solutions.

Perform storage capacity planning and performance analysis.

Troubleshoot storage connectivity, latency, and resiliency issues.

SAN Fabric Administration

Configure and maintain Fibre Channel switching environments (Brocade and/or Cisco MDS).

Manage zoning, aliases, VSANs, and fabric security policies.

Perform firmware upgrades and scheduled fabric maintenance activities.

Troubleshoot storage pathing, SAN connectivity, and multipathing issues.

Ethernet Switching & Network Infrastructure

Configure and administer enterprise Ethernet switching environments (Cisco / Arista).

Manage VLANs, trunking, link aggregation (LACP), Spanning Tree, QoS, and network segmentation.

Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues across multi-site environments.

Support network monitoring, capacity planning, and network security initiatives.





Virtualization & Compute Platforms

Administer virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Red Hat KVM, and Proxmox.

Deploy and maintain virtual machine infrastructure with a focus on performance and availability.

Perform host lifecycle management and compute capacity planning.

Support high availability configurations and disaster recovery platforms.

Security & Compliance

Implement infrastructure security best practices across all managed platforms.

Perform vulnerability remediation and coordinate patch management activities.

Participate in security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.

Maintain backup integrity and oversee recovery operations.

Documentation & Operational Excellence

Develop and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and support documentation.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts during infrastructure incidents and post-mortems.

Mentor junior administrators and serve as technical escalation point for complex issues.

Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance windows.

Required Qualifications

Experience

8+ years of enterprise systems administration experience.

5+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory in enterprise environments.

5+ years administering Linux systems (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, or equivalent).

3+ years administering enterprise storage and SAN environments.

Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site datacenter infrastructure.
