The Export & Import Banking Executive is responsible for coordinating with banks and internal departments for all export and import banking activities. The role involves handling trade finance transactions, submitting shipping documents, processing import and export payments, coordinating Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, monitoring bill lodgments, and ensuring compliance with RBI, FEMA, DGFT, and company policies.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Authorized Dealer (AD) Banks for export banking operations.
- Prepare and submit export document sets to banks for bill lodgment, negotiation, and collection.
- Submit export documents to banks for processing of trade finance transactions.
- Submit shipping and commercial documents to banks under Letter of Credit (LC), Documents Against Payment (D/P), Documents Against Acceptance (D/A), and Open Account transactions.
- Coordinate with banks for timely submission of export documents to facilitate export proceeds realization.
- Prepare and submit Export Bill Lodgment documents.
- Coordinate with banks for export bill negotiation, collection, and realization.
- Follow up with banks regarding document acceptance, discrepancies, and transaction status.
- Coordinate with banks for issuance, amendment, and closure of Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs), as applicable.
- Track export documents with banks until payment realization.
- Ensure all banking documents are complete, accurate, and submitted within the prescribed timelines.
- Maintain records of export banking transactions, correspondence, and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, DGFT, and company policies related to export banking.
Preferred candidate profile
Any Graduate 1-3 years of experience in Import & Export Banking, Export Documentation, or International Trade Operations.
Male candidates are preferred.
