Role & responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of multi-layer PCBs (2, 4, 6, 8+ layers)
- Convert schematics into optimized,high-quality PCB layouts
- Own component placement strategy and library management
- Perform routing for high-speed, analog, and digital circuits
- Apply and guide team on Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) best practices
- Ensure adherence to fabrication constraints and assembly requirements
- Generate and validate manufacturing outputs (Gerber, ODB++ files)
- Review and resolve DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reports
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication vendors and EMS partners for smooth production
- Lead board bring-up, debugging, and validation activities
- Analyze layout-related defects and conduct FMEA
- Implement grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards (IEC 61000)
- Utilize Altium Designer effectively for advanced PCB design and SI/PI analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design best practices within the team
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, USB, PCIe, Ethernet
- Exposure to SI/PI simulation tools
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance testing
