Role Summary You will own GoComet's proprietary research program—the single highest-leverage asset in our organic growth strategy. Reporting to the Director, Organic & Content, you will leverage GoComet's unique platform data (shipping, freight rates, transit times, procurement benchmarks, and more) to answer industry questions that no one else can. Your research will power flagship reports that earn citations, backlinks, analyst attention, and long-term market authority.

In addition, you will partner closely with the Senior Content Strategist by supplying a continuous stream of proprietary, citable insights that transform standard content into high-value, information-gain assets.

Key Responsibilities Research Strategy - Partner with the Director, Organic & Content and Product leadership to identify the highest-value research questions that can be answered using GoComet's proprietary data.

- Maintain a rolling 6–12 month research roadmap aligned with business priorities and market opportunities.

Research

Methodology & Data Analysis - Design rigorous, defensible research methodologies.

- Validate data quality and define clear research boundaries.
- Query platform data using AI-assisted tools and direct database access.
- Identify meaningful trends, benchmarks, and emerging patterns while clearly articulating the scope and limitations of each study.

Insight

Development - Move beyond descriptive statistics to uncover strategic insights.

- Explain what the data means for senior logistics and procurement leaders.
- Surface contrarian viewpoints, identify industry implications, and translate complex findings into actionable business intelligence.

Research

Production - Use AI-powered publishing tools to create:

- Flagship research reports
- Executive summaries
- Data visualizations
- Supporting thought leadership articles
- Perform thorough editorial reviews to ensure accuracy, strategic relevance, and narrative quality.

Content





Enablement - Ensure every research publication is fully mapped into GoComet's content taxonomy.

- Structure reports so they can be referenced across 8–15 information-gain articles over the following 12–18 months.
- Continuously provide proprietary data points that strengthen the broader organic content strategy.

Requirements - 5+ years of experience in research, data journalism, analyst relations, market intelligence, or a data-driven content role.

- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Tech, or B2B SaaS is highly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to:
- Frame meaningful research questions
- Evaluate data quality and limitations
- Extract non-obvious insights from large datasets without relying on a dedicated data science team
- Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives for senior business leaders.
- Proficiency with AI tools for:
- Data exploration

- Content generation
- Robust judgment to effectively guide AI-generated outputs while knowing when human analysis is essential.
