Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Engineering (Proposal) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, developing technical and commercial proposals, preparing solution concepts, and supporting the sales team during pre-sales activities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of automation systems, industrial machinery, and manufacturing processes, along with excellent customer interaction and proposal management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze RFQs, customer specifications and technical requirements.
- Develop techno-commercial proposals for automation systems, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), robotic systems, and industrial solutions.
- Prepare concept layouts, solution architectures, system configurations, and cost estimations.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Controls, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project teams to develop optimized solutions.
- Conduct technical discussions with customers to clarify requirements and propose suitable solutions.
- Perform feasibility studies, cycle time analysis, and technical risk assessments.
- Prepare BOMs, cost calculations, and pricing estimates.
- Support sales teams during technical presentations, proposal reviews, and negotiations.
- Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications, company standards, and industry regulations.
- Maintain proposal documentation, estimation databases, and technical records.
- Support order handover activities to project execution teams after project award.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in proposal engineering, application engineering, pre-sales, or solution development.
- Experience in Industrial Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment, SPMs, Material Handling Systems, Robotic Automation or Industrial Machinery.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Robotics, PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA, Vision Systems, and Factory Automation.
- Experience in machine concept development and solution engineering.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, technical drawings, and process requirements.
- Exposure to cost estimation, BOM preparation, and commercial proposal development.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automation solutions will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Candidates from Industrial Automation, SPM Manufacturing, Semiconductor Equipment, Robotics Integration or Industrial Machinery sectors with strong proposal and application engineering experience will be preferred.
