Overview

Lead and manage all maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and efficiency while supporting uninterrupted production. Drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, ensure statutory compliance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to achieve world-class manufacturing standards.

Job Responsibilities

1. Plant Maintenance

- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for all production equipment and utilities.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Develop and implement annual maintenance plans and shutdown schedules.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.

1. Equipment & Utilities

- Maintain CNC, VMC, HMC, grinding, assembly, and special-purpose machines.
- Ensure reliable operation of compressors, DG sets, transformers, HVAC systems, chillers, ETP/STP, air distribution, and electrical systems.
- Plan and execute new machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and capacity expansion.
- Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Implement TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, RCFA, Kaizen, and Lean Maintenance practices.
- Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Drive energy conservation and maintenance cost optimization.
- Spare Parts & Budget Control
- Manage critical spare parts inventory and maintenance consumables.
- Prepare and control annual maintenance budgets.
- Negotiate and manage AMC/CMC contracts and external service providers.

3. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, machine safety, statutory regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Lead safety audits,



risk assessments, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure all statutory inspections and certifications are completed on time.

4. Team Leadership

- Lead maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Develop team capability through training and skill development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Production, Quality, PPC, Purchase, and Engineering to minimize downtime and support customer delivery.
- Participate in customer, IATF, and internal audits and ensure timely closure of maintenance-related observations.

Qualification Diploma /B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.

MBA or Maintenance Management certification is an added advantage.

Experience

15 to 20 years of experience in automotive component manufacturing.

Minimum 5 years in a Maintenance Head or Senior Maintenance Manager role.

Strong experience in CNC machining, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, robotics, electrical systems, and utilities.

Hands-on exposure to TPM, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
