Role Purpose

Lead the end-to-end Quality function for the manufacturing plant, ensuring world-class quality standards across incoming, in-process, customer, supplier, and recent product quality. The role is responsible for driving zero-defect manufacturing, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute the plant quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive a culture of quality, customer focus, and operational excellence.
- Establish quality KPIs and ensure achievement of plant quality targets.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional quality teams while building future leadership capability.

Manufacturing Quality

- Ensure robust quality control throughout SMT, PCB Assembly (PCBA), electrical assembly, testing, and final inspection processes.
- Monitor First Pass Yield (FPY), Defects Per Million (DPPM), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Rework, Scrap, and Right First Time (RFT).
- Lead quality assurance for automated SMT lines, wave/selective soldering, conformal coating, ICT, Functional Testing (FCT), AOI, AXI, SPI, and End-of-Line testing.
- Drive process capability improvement through SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Audits.

Customer Quality

- Act as the primary interface for OEM and customer quality matters.
- Lead customer audits, quality reviews, and complaint resolution.
- Drive effective 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Improve customer satisfaction by reducing warranty claims, field failures, and customer PPM.





Supplier Quality

- Develop supplier quality improvement strategies.
- Conduct supplier audits and monitor supplier performance.
- Drive PPAP approvals, APQP implementation, and supplier development initiatives.
- Ensure incoming material quality through robust inspection systems.

New Product Quality

- Support new product introduction (NPI) and localization projects.
- Lead APQP, PPAP, Run@Rate, Process Validation, and Production Trial activities.
- Ensure successful quality planning from development to mass production.

Quality Systems
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable statutory standards.
- Drive Layered Process Audits (LPA), Product Audits, Internal Audits, and Process Compliance.
- Maintain documentation including SOPs, Work Instructions, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Quality Manuals.
- Lead Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Quality Circle initiatives.
- Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, and process optimization.
- Utilize statistical tools and data analytics for quality improvement.
