Lead Engineer – React Native

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead React Native Engineer with 6+ years of experience in mobile application development to act as the technical owner of a business‑critical mobile platform. This is an individual contributor role with no direct people management, responsible for driving mobile architecture, reliability, and technical excellence while mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the architecture, design, and technical decision‑making for scalable, secure, and maintainable React Native mobile applications, enforcing engineering standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership across the mobile team through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship, without direct people management.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, DevOps, and backend teams to deliver high‑quality mobile solutions.
- Architect reusable and modular mobile solutions to support long‑term scalability and platform evolution.
- Lead integration with backend services including REST APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, analytics platforms, and third‑party SDKs.
- Design and implement native modules and platform‑specific optimizations using Kotlin and Swift.
- Own production reliability, observability, and mobile health metrics, including incident response, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
- Drive mobile CI/CD, automated builds, release pipelines,



and deployment strategies across environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, roadmap discussions, and technical strategy planning.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve mobile engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6+ years of software engineering experience with extensive mobile application development experience
- Solid expertise in React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, state management, navigation, modular architecture, and React Native’s New Architecture
- Deep understanding of mobile performance optimization, debugging, scalability, security, and observability
- Expertise in integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, and third‑party services
- Strong experience with native Android/iOS development using Kotlin and Swift
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment strategies
- Proven ability to lead & mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with monorepo or modular mobile architectures (e.g., Nx, Turborepo).
- Familiarity with mobile performance monitoring, analytics, and observability tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and backend systems supporting mobile applications.
- Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks such as Jest, Detox, or Appium.
- Experience supporting large‑scale mobile applications in production environments.
