Lead Engineer – Full Stack

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer for a balanced full-stack role, with strong expertise in React.js and solid experience in at least one backend technology such as Python or Node.js (Java experience is a plus). This is a senior technical role with informal leadership responsibilities, where you will guide a small team, drive technical decisions, and remain deeply involved in design and development. The role requires strong ownership across the full software development lifecycle, including delivery, production support, and on-call responsibility for the solutions you build.

Familiarity with cloud and DevOps practices is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack applications across frontend and backend components.
- Work hands-on across React.js and backend services to deliver end-to-end features.
- Drive technical decision-making across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
- Develop backend services using at least one of the following technologies: Python or Node.js (Java experience is a plus).
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and informal leadership to a small engineering team.
- Work within a small engineering team, contributing to both individual delivery and team-level execution.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, mentor team members, and support strong development practices.
- Design and build scalable APIs, microservices, and frontend components with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Work closely with DevOps teams and contribute to deployment, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and containerized applications.




- Contribute to database design and work with relational or NoSQL databases based on solution needs.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical estimations, roadmap discussions, and engineering process improvements.
- Own end-to-end lifecycle of your solutions, including development, deployment, production support, and participation in on-call rotations.
- Continuously improve system quality, security, scalability, and operational stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6–10 years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong frontend development experience using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Solid experience in at least one backend technology such as Python or Node.js (Java experience is a plus).
- Experience designing and developing scalable REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and state management.
- Good understanding of system design, software architecture patterns, and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and practical understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git, collaborative development workflows, and Agile delivery practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call support for owned solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and API gateway implementations.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
- Knowledge of security best practices across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices.
- Exposure to data-intensive applications is a plus.
