DFT Engineer,

Role Description The Lead DFT Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This position is responsible for owning and driving Design-for-Test (DFT) strategy and implementation for complex SoCs and ASICs, including scan insertion, boundary scan, MBIST, LBIST, and ATPG.

The role involves collaborating closely with front-end design, verification, and physical design teams to integrate DFT features, define test architectures, and ensure testability without compromising performance,



area, or power. Day-to-day activities include creating and reviewing DFT specifications, developing test plans, analyzing coverage reports, debugging test issues, and supporting silicon bring-up and production test. The Lead DFT Engineer will mentor junior engineers, contribute to methodology improvements and automation, and interface with customers to align DFT solutions with project requirements and schedules.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Engineering and Testing for complex semiconductor designs.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Test Execution and working with structured Test Cases and test plans.
- Candidates should possess capability in Functional Testing, including debugging test failures and improving coverage.
- Candidates should possess expertise in DFT concepts such as scan, MBIST, LBIST, JTAG, and ATPG, along with familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of digital design fundamentals, RTL flows, and basic understanding of synthesis and timing concepts.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Candidates should ideally possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related field, and prior experience in DFT or test engineering roles in semiconductor companies.
