Job Overview

We are seeking a Design Engineer with strong expertise in Creo and a background in automotive product design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in end-to-end product design and development, preferably with automotive switch components.

The selected candidate will work on automotive product development projects for one of Innovant's leading automotive clients and will collaborate closely with the clients engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using PTC Creo for automotive components
- Work on end-to-end product design and development, from concept to production support
- Design and develop automotive switches and related components
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, and BOMs




- Ensure designs comply with automotive standards and manufacturing feasibility
- Support design validation, design modifications, and engineering changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, and quality
- Maintain proper documentation of design revisions and technical data

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with PTC Creo (3D modeling, assemblies, detailing)
- Experience in automotive product design
- Knowledge of automotive switch design or electromechanical components (preferred)
- Understanding of engineering drawing standards and GD&T;
- Basic knowledge of plastic parts, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Educational Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in end-to-end product development cycle
- Exposure to automotive component design, especially switches or interior components
- Ability to work in a fast-paced product development environment
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
