Role & responsibilities

- Implement, and update safety procedures, and plans to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and industry standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
- Assist Production and Engineering team in establishing Secure Operating Procedures for machineries, processes and high-risk activities.
- Carry out Plant & Machine safety inspections individually and jointly with Production and Engineering Teams. Track closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Organize safety promotional activities like National Safety Day/Week, Road Safety Week etc.
- Be the focal point for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Play key role in Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment and Aspect Impact Assessment
- Carry out induction and periodic HSE training for workmen and staff as per the training schedule.




- Prepare and periodically update Safety Training Modules for Induction and Refresher training of all categories of employees
- Organize specialized safety training classes for Powered Material Handling Equipment, Portable Electrical Equipment and Permit to Work Systems etc.
- Oversee the Project Safety aspects and ensure contractors adhere to MRF Safety requirements
- Be a team player in achieving the overall Safety and Health objectives of the plant
- Maintain incident statistics and safety performance indicators. Also, maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity for internal and external reporting purposes
- Support Customer / OEM audits at the plant and ensure site-wide compliance with respect to HSE

Preferred candidate profile

Full Time Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical / Electrical)

AND

(i) Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from CLI/RLI (or)

(ii) M.E. / M. Tech. Industrial Safety from colleges approved by Govt. of Keralam (or)

Any other course recognised by Govt. of Keralam
