Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Laboratory Executive to support quality control activities in our silicate manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, maintaining quality standards, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with established laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

- Analyze Sodium Silicate, Metasilicate, and other silicate-based products as per standard testing procedures.

- Record and maintain accurate laboratory test reports and documentation.

- Monitor product quality and immediately report any deviations to the QC Manager.

- Calibrate, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of laboratory instruments.

- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and standard samples for testing.

- Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs, quality systems, and safety guidelines.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.

- Assist in investigating customer complaints related to product quality.

- Coordinate with the production team for process improvement and quality consistency.

- Monitor laboratory inventory and raise requisitions for chemicals, glassware, and consumables.

- Support internal and external quality audits.

Required Skills





- Positive knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and quality control procedures.

- Basic understanding of Sodium Silicate manufacturing processes.

- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and calibration methods.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good documentation and report preparation skills.

- Knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related science discipline.

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in a Quality Control Laboratory.

- Experience in the Silicate, Chemical, Detergent, Ceramic, Glass, Foundry, or Construction Chemical Industry will be preferred.
