L1 Monitoring Engineer – SolarWinds

Job Summary The L1 Monitoring Engineer is responsible for real-time monitoring of infrastructure, applications, and network devices using SolarWinds, identifying alerts, and ensuring timely notification, ticketing, and escalation as per defined SLA.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor alerts and events from SolarWinds dashboards (All Active Alerts / Top 10 / Node health) [Solarwinds...Monitoring | Word]

Perform first-level analysis of alerts (CPU, Memory, Disk, Interface, Node Down, Packet Loss) [Solarwinds...Monitoring | Word]

Raise incident tickets in ITSM tools (e.g., BMC Helix/Remedy) for all critical alerts

Notify and dispatch issues to respective teams (Network, Wintel, DB, EUC, etc.) [OT NOC SCOPE OF WORK | Outlook]

Follow defined priority-based SLA (P1/P2/P3) for alert communication and escalation [OT NOC SCOPE OF WORK | Outlook]

Perform call-out activity for critical alerts during non-business hours [Solarwinds...Monitoring | Word]

Track alerts until acknowledgement by responsible teams

Send alert notification emails to stakeholders and management [Solarwinds...Monitoring | Word]





Identify duplicate alerts and suppress noise where applicable

Coordinate with on-call engineers for site outages or major incidents [MOM of the...22/04/2026 | Outlook]

Maintain accurate logs, worknotes, and monitoring reports

Key Skills Required

Basic knowledge of network & server concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OS basics) [Network- J...ion for L1 | Txt]

Understanding of incident management lifecycle

Good analytical & troubleshooting skills (L1 level)

Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts
