Job Title: Senior Accountant

Department: Accounts & Finance

Location: Kolkata

Employment Type: Full-Time

CTC: 4.8 LPA 6 LPA (Depending on the candidates experience and potential.)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and banking activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, TDS, Income Tax, MIS Reporting, Budgeting, Payroll Review, and Financial Controls while ensuring accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the overall accounting operations of the organization.
- Maintain sales invoices, accounting vouchers, and financial records in Tally Prime.
- Handle branch-wise accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple business locations.
- Monitor project-wise, event-wise, venue-wise, and location-wise accounting activities.
- Review and approve accounting entries prepared by junior accounting staff.
- Prepare, review, and analyze project/event cost sheets.
- Develop internal budgets, proposed budgets, and actual budgets for projects and business activities.
- Monitor budget utilization and perform variance analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare profitability reports based on projects, events, locations, and business units.
- Monitor financial performance and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory regulations.




- Prepare GST and TDS workings and ensure timely statutory payments.
- File GST Returns, TDS Returns, Professional Tax Returns, and assist in Income Tax documentation.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers and inventory accounting records.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, statutory documents, and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, bankers, and statutory authorities for audits and compliance matters.
- Prepare Monthly MIS Reports, Financial Statements, and management reports using Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Monitor cash flow, fund utilization, and banking transactions.
- Prepare financial documentation related to bank loans, overdraft (OD), cash credit (CC), loan against property (LAP), bank guarantees (BG), and other banking facilities.
- Review payroll processing, salary calculations, and employee reimbursement statements before final approval.
- Support management by providing financial insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and profitability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter qualification will be an added advantage.

- 3 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in handling complete accounting operations and statutory compliance is preferred.

Compensation

CTC: 4.8 LPA 6 LPA (Based on qualifications, experience, and overall suitability.)
