BACK TO OUR TEAM Katie Padgett She/Her Trauma Informed Psychotherapist LCPC, RYT-200 View Psychology Today ProfileContact me Link to Instagram Link to LinkedIn As a client-centered therapist, Katie takes a non-directive approach which empowers clients to find their voice and cultivate connection to a deep sense of inner-knowing. She strives to help clients gain clarity around their values, encouraging them to shed limiting beliefs and live genuinely. She views each client as the expert of their experience, fully capable of self-acceptance and growth when given a protected, supportive and affirming environment. ‍ ‍ Katie is a registered yoga instructor, and often incorporates mindfulness and principles of yoga to promote insight and strengthen the mind-body connection.

Katie is passionate about identity development and existentialism, inviting clients to explore the impacts of both micro and macro systems on their sense of self and their world-view. ‍ Katie supports adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, grief and loss, vicarious and generational trauma. She additionally supports folks in recovery, adult children of alcoholics, folks supporting loved ones in recovery, LGBTQIA+ folks, allies and advocates, and folks struggling with chronic illness. ‍ ‍ I’m a good fit for a client who… is ready to acknowledge and deconstruct unhelpful messaging received in childhood or during other significant life events and embrace their authentic self. I also work well with clients who are open to a holistic approach - I love to incorporate yoga Nidra and check-in about sleep, movement, your social life, financial stress, career and spirituality if that is something you subscribe to.

If you’d like for your sessions to feel conversational and relatable, I may be a good fit for you! ‍ I’m not a good fit for a client who… is looking for solution-focused, highly structured or directive approaches to therapy. While I am happy to provide guidance,

education and interpretation when necessary, I aim to provide a relational experience that provides unconditional acceptance, allowing you to safely explore, make meaning of your experiences, and consider new strategies that you may not have otherwise felt ready to approach.
