Role Overview A&K; Associate is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Advocate to join our litigation team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Thrissur. The selected candidate will work closely with senior advocates, assisting in litigation, legal research, drafting, client advisory work, and court proceedings across various forums.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for young advocates to gain practical courtroom experience, develop strong drafting and advocacy skills, and work on diverse legal matters while building a rewarding legal career.

Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings, petitions, written statements, affidavits, notices, agreements, legal opinions, and other legal documents.

Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, case law, regulations, and judicial precedents.





Prepare case briefs, legal notes, and summaries for ongoing matters.

Assist senior advocates in developing litigation strategies and legal opinions.

Attend court hearings before various courts and tribunals and assist in case management.

Appear before courts independently whenever assigned.

Attend client meetings, conferences, mediations, and negotiations.

Coordinate with clients, government authorities, court staff, and other stakeholders. Review legal documents and identify legal issues and procedural requirements.

Maintain organized case files, records, and litigation documentation.

Monitor filing deadlines, limitation periods, and procedural compliance.

Perform other legal and administrative responsibilities assigned by the firm.

Qualifications LL.B. (or equivalent) from a recognized university.

Enrollment with the Bar Council of India/State Bar Council is preferred.

Freshers and candidates with 0–2 years of litigation or advisory experience are encouraged to apply.

Solid legal research and analytical abilities.

Excellent drafting skills with clear, concise, and precise legal language.

Sound understanding of the Code of Civil Procedure, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),



and other applicable substantive laws.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malayalam.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments efficiently.

Demonstrate integrity, professional ethics, discretion, and strict confidentiality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases is desirable.

Preferred Skills Prior internship or chamber experience in litigation.

Exposure to drafting pleadings, contracts, and legal opinions.

Courtroom exposure and familiarity with court procedures.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a legal team.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
